Capsule Feeding Methods

Give directly, mix with food, open and sprinkle over food, or dissolve the contents in a small amount of water. Many pets take it best with meals or a favorite soft food.

When to feed

It can be given with a meal or about half an hour after a meal. If using once daily, keep a consistent time. If using twice daily, give morning and evening.

Small pets

For partial capsules, open the capsule and divide the contents carefully. Mixing with food or a small amount of warm water can make feeding easier.

Dose caps

Dogs: for 61–100 lb and 100+ lb, start at 6 capsules per dose and increase gradually up to 8 capsules per dose as needed. 8 capsules per dose is the maximum cap for dogs. Cats: 21 lb and above are capped at 2 capsules per dose.
